Andrea began her professional career late in life after raising a family of five in her former home of Kilkenny Ireland. She attended college for business studies at Trinity College in Dublin Ireland graduating with honors in 1981. Andrea’s husband, Arthur O’Brien was a professor of International Studies at Trinity college and as a bit o’ the Irish luck would have it, was soon after offered a position at Harvard University teaching the same subject. Andrea and Arthur set out for the shores of the United States in 1982.
Andrea soon put her college degree to work and was offered a position as Assistant to the President for The Bank of Ireland in Boston MA. She remained there until 1993 and resigned to spend more time with her grown children.
In 1994 Andrea started looking for an administrative position that offered her a bit of flexibility to travel with her husband and visit some of her children that remained in Ireland. A perfect marriage was born when Andrea accepted the position of Office Coordinator for AEI Speakers Bureau.
Andrea is now our Speaker Liason. Her outstanding contributions make our organization a success. In addition to her wit and charm, Andrea is one of those unique people that can "get the job done" without ever knowing that she was there. AEI is proud to have Andrea as part of our team.
