Bill Goss

Bill Goss is a former military officer, now published author, photojournalist, professional speaker and consultant with extensive capabilities in many complex and broad areas. He is a contributing writer to #1 New York Times best-selling book series, Chicken Soup for the Soul and many other books. Some of his writings are now required reading at the University of Colorado. His latest book is published by Simon and Schuster, the world's largest publisher. Bill Goss' life story was featured in a four page article on health and wellness in Reader's Digest, the world's most widely read magazine, with 43 million monthly U.S. readers, distribution into 60 countries and translations into 19 languages. He also has extensive experience as a guest personality on nationally and internationally broadcast radio and television shows through North America, Europe and Asia.

In his spare time, Bill Goss teaches self-defense as a volunteer to victims of domestic violence. He has written three screenplays and has worked as an extra in four feature movies. His first film was "G.I. Jane" was with Demi Moore, Viggo Mortensen, and Jim Caviezel (Jim played Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ"). This was followed by Oliver Stone's epic, "Alexander", starring Colin Farrell, Angelina Jolie, Val Kilmer, Rosario Dawson, and Anthony Hopkins. In his next film he picked cucumbers with the lovely Miss Halle Berry in the Oprah produced ABC movie, "Their Eyes Were Watching God". And in his most recent movie, Bill played a 1940s New York policeman being questioned by detectives played by John Travolta and James Gandolfini (known for his role as Tony Soprano) in the movie, "Lonely Hearts", also starring actress Salma Hayek. Bill Goss is in "Recount" with Kevin Spacey, an HBO movie out this spring.

Lt. Commander Bill Goss USN (Ret) served as a photojournalist and op-ed writer for www.Military.com with a monthly readership of four million military members. He has also served as a military analyst for Channel Four Eyewitness World News.

Bill Goss is an internationally known author and an inspiring speaker who has shared the podium with Bob Dole and has been quoted in the marketing materials for Harvard Business School.

Bill Goss has served as a consultant/speaker for the British Broadcasting Network (BBC), National Institute of Health (NIH); National Cancer Institute (NCI); University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Institute; The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, American College of Surgeons Oncology Group, The University of Washington, The American Fighter Aces Association, American Melanoma Foundation and Duke University.

A survivor of malignant melanoma, caused by the sun, Bill Goss has now been cancer-free for over 10 years. He completed the 26.2 mile Jacksonville marathon.
